You can be a published author. No matter what anyone else says or thinks, you can publish your own books. The days when self-publishing was derided as "vanity printing" are over. And good riddance.
So many more options than ever before exist for people who have a story to tell, a message to convey, information to share, and want . Electronic books for reading on the computer and portable devices. Audiobooks. Beautifully formatted print books. All of these are within the reach of any author with the drive to become published.
But when I decided to publish my first book, Cooking With Vesna, I found that it wasn't quite as easy to find all the information I needed to create a book, let people know about, and sell it. I couldn't find it all in one place. I thought, "There should be a website where all this stuff is collected and organized!"
